Sue Gillispie wrangles Flemish at a recent Judges' Conference held in Cody, WY.......Check it Out

My name is Joe Willoughby, I live in Evanston Wy. In 1989 my daughter Jodie wanted a pair of Rex Rabbits for 4H. My Elk hunting partner, who had Rex, gave her a pair. After breeding and getting a first litter of ten, I started taking Jodie to a few local shows and was amazed at the amount of people showing rabbits! Needless to say I was hooked.

In 1990 I met my wife, Charlotte, and we later married and she also joined ARBA in Joe Willoughby, WY Rep1991. My job transferred us to Vernal, Utah where I helped put a new all breed club together.

In 1994 Charlotte and I joined the National Rex club and went to our first ARBA convention in Tulsa OK. In 1995 we attended our first Rex Convention in Eugene, OR. and met many new friends.

In 1996 my job transferred us back to Evanston, Wyoming were we currently live. Two years ago I started a new Rex Club called WY _UT Rex Club. We have members in Utah ,Idaho, and Wyoming. I am at present president of the WY-UT Rex Club, and Sweepstakes Chairman and Director for the National Rex Club. We have met many good friends while showing around the country. Contact Me...

I have been an ARBA member for 25 years beginning as a youth breeder in 1982. I am an ARBA licensed Registrar. I am proud to represent Wyoming's ARBA members as an ARBA District 1 Representative. I enjoy being active in the rabbit hobby as an exhibitor, registrar, club member, local rabbit show worker, ARBA Committee member, and a National club officer.

I have raised most of the recognized rabbit breeds throughout the years, but for the last five years I have raised Holland Lops exclusively. I have the honor of serving as the current Zone 1 Director for the National Holland Lop Rabbit Specialty Club.

I enjoy attending local shows as well as national conventions. One of my favorite things about our hobby is coming together to share information and learn from each other's vast expertise and experience. I encourage you to come up and talk to me at a rabbit show or contact me

Michelle Sauerwein, District 1 Rep, with daughter

Greetings from Northern Wyoming! I first became an ARBA member in 1982. Raising and showing rabbits is something I have enjoyed for many years. When my children became old enough to get involved in rabbits, we tried a few different breeds until each child found their “favorite” breed. I wanted to start raising a breed that was endangered here in the U.S. so I chose to tackle the task of breeding and showing Blanc de Hotots. These have proven to be very challenging but rewarding as well. My husband Carl and I also raise Havanas.

As my children got older, I became more involved with the ARBA and obtained my Registrars License. I belong to some National Breed Clubs and I am currently the President of the Hotot Rabbit Breeders International as well as our local all breed club.

I have spent a great deal of time and energy to promote rabbits in my area of the state; founding the Shoshone River Rabbit Raisers and the High Country Rabbit & Cavy Association as well as being a 4-H leader for a number of years. I enjoy going to rabbit shows, working with youth, registering rabbits and most of all I enjoy the camaraderie of other rabbit breeders. My daughter Kathryn and I also enjoy attending the ARBA National Conventions. We love to learn about other breeds, see new sights and meeting new rabbit friends. Please feel free to contact me if I may be of assistance to you and I look forward to helping represent the ARBA in District 1.
