My name is Aggie Mowry. I was raised in the Netherlands by a Dutch dad and a British mom. Coming to the USA in 1986, I married my husband, Doug in 1987. We have lived in the Tri Cities area of Washington for 12 years.
My involvement with rabbits started while raising them through my growing up years, as pets. Today our family raises Netherland Dwarf and Velveteen Lop rabbits, and Teddy, American and White Crested cavies. I have attended every ARBA National Convention since 2000, and have encouraged my own 2 daughters and many other youth to participate in the ARBA youth program and Royalty contests. As a result, Sarah has continued on and is now an ARBA licensed Rabbit and Cavy Registrar.
I am the General leader of Rada Rabbits & Cavies 4-H with around 40 wonderful youth and families. I am on the Youth committee for the WSRBA, and help put on the state Royalty contest every June. Through the hobby of rabbit and cavy raising I see great ways for youth and grown-ups alike to practice skills like getting along, working hard, using common sense and having fun. When these things happen, we all benefit, and we can make a difference in peoples lives. Contact Me...
Hi, my name is Christine Byron. I live in Redmond with my daughter Amanda and her zoo of cats, dogs, horses and reptiles. We started raising rabbits 14 years ago when she joined 4-H. We are raising Mini Rex and Polish at this time.
I was the 4-H leader for a number of years and the barn superintendent for a year at King County Fair. As Amanda aged out of 4-H and we got more involved in Open shows, I turned my hand to volunteering for our local all breed and specialty clubs both as general help and as an officer. Once she was no longer a youth, we started showing together and I just kept getting more and more involved, continuing on a local level, but also getting involved at the National level.
I am currently a general grunt for NWRB, the Secretary for GNRCG, Past President for MRFGNW and District One director for NMRRC. Contact Me...
Hi. My name is Vicki Weisgerber and I would like to introduce myself. My rabbit journey began in the fall of 1998. Our daughter Whitney started with a single bunny next came 4-H for both kids, Dustin with cavies and Flemish Giants and Whitney with her beloved Netherland Dwarfs. The kids enjoyed showing their rabbits and cavies and were quite active in fitting & showing and state and national royalty competition. But as with many families the kids grow up and at this time both are pursuing other interests. As much as I loved Dustin’s Flemish Giants they just were too big for me to maintain but I did keep Whitney’s Netherland Dwarfs and enjoy breeding and showing them at a state and national level. I am a member of the ARBA, ANDRC, NWDRC where I am seretary and newsletter editor and a member of MNDF. This is a very enjoyable hobby for me, I have my own business, a sign shop, as a graphic artist I make signs, letter vehicles, and design logos for businesses, and I have even made quite a few awards for rabbit shows also. Being involved with the rabbits has introduced me to great friends and wonderful people around the world, who would have thought so many people, would enjoy this same common bond of being involved with rabbits!
I would like to thank Roger Hassenpflug for appointing me to this position and I will try to do my best to help him in anyway that I can to fulfill the duties of this position. I really am proud of our Regions rabbit breeders and youth leaders; they are second to none.
Thank You, Vicki. Contact Me...
