New Clubs and a New Rabbit...
Western Canada has a new club - the
Western Canada Rabbit and Cavy Fanciers. With 40-50 charter members located all across the
four Western Provinces, the club's aims are to support and
promote rabbit and cavy breeding and showing. As a large regional organization, goals will be to offer assistance - including financial
assistence, to local clubs putting on shows.
This focus will enable smaller local shows to grow by paying for additional sanctions and judges costs, and to increase
the communication about shows across all four provinces and the Northwest US as well. The ultimate goal will be to eventually sponsor a large 6-10
sanctioned Western Canada Convention, to be held in a different Western province each year.
The second club newly formed, is the Canadian Plush Lop Club. (A copy of the working standard can be accessed by clicking the picture to the right.)
